Nashville Predators wins 4-0 against the Minnesota Wild with a brilliant shutout performance 
The Nashville Predators hosted the Minnesota Wild at the Bridgestone Arena this Thursday in a very important clash between the two sides in the running for the play-offs.
Predators are one spot behind the final play-off position while the Wild aren’t far behind either as they looked to win and move into the cut.
However, the Predators had been piling up some decent results and they were able to carry the momentum in the period as they managed to come up with some very strong plays.
Not only this, but the Predators were right on the attack from the start and scored thrice in the first period to seal the deal.
The second period didn’t see any goals but the Predators scored once again in the final period to win the game 4-0 in the end.
Nick Spaling was the star of the game as he scored twice during the game.
Predators made a brilliant start to the game which saw them coming scoring chances right from the very start of the game.
Not only this, but they were able to capitalise from the start and scored in the fourth minute through Joel Ward from a quick fired shot to get into the lead.
Predators kept on piling the pressure and were soon rewarded with another goal in the fifth minute which was scored by Nick Spaling from a well placed flick shot. Wild also came up with a few shots on goal but they unable to score.
Predators attacking got better and better and the defence got tighter. As a result, the Predators scored once again in the 13th minute through Martin Erat from a superb backhand shot to seal a dominating performance during the period.
The period ended with the Predators leading 3-0. During the period, the Predators made 15 shots on goal while the Wild made just five shots on goal.
The second period saw the Predators on top once again but this time they didn’t get the amount of space as compared to what they got in the first period. There were several chances for both teams to score in the middle part of the period where the game turned
into an offensive battle.
However, no goals were scored as the period ended with the Predators still led 3-0. During the period, the Predators made 9 shot on goal while the Wild could manage just four.
The final period started off with both teams attacking. However, it was the Predators who scored once again in the 15th minute through Spaling once again through a flick shot.
The period saw Wild making 10 shots on goal while the Predators made 7. The period and the game ended with the Predators winning 4-0 in the end.
