  1. roti canai, for sure.it's cheaper and can be eaten anytime of the day or night.

  2. Nasi lemak is delicious and more filling out of the two.

  3. nasi lemak.

  4. I prefer roti canai, especially the really spicy ones from Indian stalls, corned beef and chili ahh so nice :-)

(apa nama corned beef dan chili in BM?)

    Boss:

Sarawak ada, 'dagang' or something like that.

  5. roti canai tastes the same at almost all mamaks in Malaysia

nasi lemak isn't! it's delicious and different mamaks have different sambals! which we could recommend to other friends who love nasi lemak! we hardly see people recommending roti canai's.

and nasi lemak could go with chicken...rendang...sotong...egg...

  6. Definitely roti canai. Every country i went to, i cant stop thinking of roti canai and dhal gravy. Banjir!!!

  7. nasi lemak better

  8. Of course i will be screaming my tummy's out with Nasi Lemak with Sambal Sotong Basah (not the dried squid ones) over Roti Canai for my breakfast...

the best i had was from this makcik kiah corner at Jalan Kuching nearby Jalan Segambut/ipoh in Kuala Lumpur..she will open her stall everyday at 8am sharp and her sambal sotong will always finish by 10am!! so its like a food war at her stall..people get afraid of not be able to buy and start rushing to come earlier to buy her nasi lemak.. can you imagine that??? this is a true story..tak percaya kalu, go and have a look yourself!! her customer will start making a queu as a early as 7am to wait for her to open the stall! madness!

anyway..Nasi lemak is always the best!!!!

  9. i would say roti canai if the nasi is 'bunkus' type but if the nasi lemak is self serve type in a plate, i would go for nasi lemak.

Shah, mamak's nasi lemak now quite competitive, one day makcik stall will go out of business. I found the one served at KayuNasiKandar restaurant in Bayan Baru Penang is very good. Maybe they got the supply from makcik vendor

Cakeman, as far as i know we don't usually take the roti with corned beef. did you mean 'murtabak'? But you can always eat it with anything actually - sugar, ice cream, yoghurt, anything!

OrangKek, if you pronounce 'dagang' something like 'duh'+'gang' (as in gangster), you're referring to 'daging', means meat. so beef is daging lembu (cow meat). corned beef is salted/preserved daging lembu

  10. Nasi Lemak....but not from mamak.

  11. Nasi Lemak for me coz its wholesome and u get to choose extra lauk to go with them too...
