Historically, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mohammad-Yousuf-c77465 are those very few players who can be rated among the greats of the game. It has always
been Pakistan’s bowling, which has made sure that Green Shirts remain a major threat in the world of cricket.
There is an even bigger famine of quality opening batsmen in the history of Pakistan cricket. However, some of the opening pairs like http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Aamer-Sohail-c41418 have served the country quite efficiently
over the years.
Throughout the previous decade, Pakistan has had a formidable middle-order batting line-up in the presence of Inzamam, Yousuf and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Younis-Khan-c98325. However, the biggest problem for the men in green has been the lack of application and ability of the openers.
Some of the top-order batsmen like http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Yasir-Hameed-c2811 and many more got so many opportunities to prove their worth at the highest stage of the game but none of them was able to deliver the goods on a consistent basis.
All the cricket analysts all around the world have a consensus that for a team to become a real force in international sport, it must have a solid opening pair, which is technically equipped to handle the new ball, as it is surely one of the toughest jobs
in cricket. Hence, we come to a conclusion that Pakistan team could have done much better in international arena in 2000s, if it had the services of more established top-order batsmen.
A ray of light came recently, when the left-handed opening batsman from Lahore, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750. He looked impressive
throughout the tournament and the former Test cricketers are expecting that the young player will solve a lot of problems for his team.
However, just when it seemed that Pakistan’s major concern has been addressed, at least in limited-overs cricket, Pakistan faced a massive setback as Nasir fractured his finger during a club match last week and has been ruled out of competitive sport for
at least a month. This means that the left-handed batsman will not be able to take part in the upcoming series against Sri Lanka, which is supposed to be Pakistan’s major preparation for the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 World T20 2012, which is scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka in
September.
Pakistan Cricket Board’s General Manager Media, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Nadeem-Sarwar-c78422 officially announced this week and stated, "He is out of action due to his finger injury. He picked up the fracture during a club match last week and wasn't able to join the camp. His doctor has
advised a four to six weeks rest and hence ruled out of the entire http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sri-Lanka-c758 series. There is no immediate replacement called to cover up him."
Considering the fact that Nasir has been a prolific run-getter in domestic T20 events in Pakistan and http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Bangladesh-c747, it was expected that the left-handed batsman will play a big role in the upcoming mega event. But now it looks as though Nasir will not play
a lot of international cricket before the all-important tournament.
