  1. Sundin in Montreal ;)

  2. im sure the Rangers overpaid for him as well. does this mean no Sundin in Vancouver now?

  3. i think this shows they don't have sundin in their plans.

and h**l no, sundin is NOT going to montreal.

  5. He was better off in Vancouver.

  6. Depends on how much Sather paid for him. But it means Jagr is done in NY. Good ridance.

Naslund at least is a good locker room guy and can help develop the younger players. Also, Gomez will have someone to setup, instead of dueling on who is going to handle the puck.

Kalinin was a great signing, specially after losing Tyutin.

  7. Well that means one thing....Jaromir Jagr will no longer be a ranger.

  8. Naslund for two years?  meeeh not a huge fan of that.

I like the Kalinin signing, though I haven't seen the terms of that contract yet.

I don't mind that Jagr is gone, personally.

This is going to be a waaay different rangers team than we're used to...

  9. Nassie was worn out in Vancouver.  He was the team captain and main player spokesman in a hockey crazy city.  His on ice play has suffered since Bertuzzi left and I do believe a big part of his lack of success in the last couple of years is because of the constant pressure he was under to win and lead the team.  The move to NY could well revitalize him.  He won't be so much in the spotlight, won't be the team captain, and won't have to be the guy who answers to the media should the Rangers not do well.  Look for him to have a very good season.
