With France and England set to face off on June 11th, as the Euros kick off, it seems like Nasri has now tipped the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 side to go on and top their group.
The City midfielder feels that the English side will do rather well under Roy Hodgson. Given the fact that everyone will be looking to prove themselves to the manager.
However, Nasri also suggested that the two match ban that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Wayne-Rooney-c36736 got, would give the other teams a good chance of taking advantage in the group, because once the striker is back, he is going to help propel the national team forward.
When talking about the upcoming tournament, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899 international is reported to have said: "We are outsiders, the English are the favourites for the group”
"England have young players like [Danny] Welbeck, but also like Wayne Rooney, who will miss the first [two] games. This is a good thing for us."
The French squad that is set to take on the rest of Europe features a number of young faces and players who are set to play in their first major tournament for France. As a result, these players can either put in the performance of a life time, or go on
and crumble under the pressure.
For this very reason, Nasri is not too sure, as to how the group would play out and has suggested that the group is open for just about everyone to claim.
Nasri added: "We are a young team lacking experience in this kind of competition. This is an open group for me.”
England are set to be one of the biggest underdogs in the upcoming competition. The team features a host of players, who are slightly above average at best. However, with Hodgson looking to prove just how good he can be, it would interesting to see just
how far he manages to take the team.
At the same time, the young French players will also be looking to prove their worth in the upcoming tournament.
