  1. Depending on what you are looking for.

Nassau is the capital and is a working city and government hub.  It's crowded, and filled to the brim with cruise ships and tourists milling about daily.  There are also some very fine restaurants.. which is the plus side of things.  Nearby is Paradise Island where Atlantis stands.  It's a huge out of place Vegas style theme park.  No island vibe here..

Yep.. there are gorgeous beaches and palm trees.. but far too many people for this tiny space.

Freeport is less commercial and much larger.  Things are more spread out.  There's a few large Resort properties.. but many smaller properties, villas etc.

You'll find a more native vibe here.. and less americanized.   Some good - great restaurants.  Move native entertainment.  Fish Fry, Bon Fires etc.. and less congestion.

Other options would be one of the out islands.. From Luxury properties to tiny B&B's .. spectacular beaches and far fewer people.

Nite life is a few local bars and a band or two.. but this is truly paradise..

Soo.. it depends on what you are looking for in a vacation.

Casinos, Theme parks and expensive food, cruiseships and tourist - Nassau

Resorts and open spaces - Freeport

Beaches and boating with no one to bother you.. the out islands.

  2. I haven't been to Nassau yet, but I did just buy a condo in Freeport, on Taino Beach.  It is gorgeous!!!

  3. Nassau, more things to do there
