Nastasi hot favourite for Bookmakers Standard Trophy - Heat 2
Nastasi has been rated as hot favourite to win the Stadium Bookmakers Standard Trophy - Heat 2 at Nottingham in England on Monday, May 28, 2012. The winner of the Grade OR event will walk away with a cash prize of £125.
Speed will not matter much in the 500 metres event, which is scheduled to start at 20:51 GMT. Following runners have been confirmed to race at Nottingham: Nastasi, Swift Frogma, Madeley, Droopys Stan, Romeo Causeway and Conor Pass Mick.
Comparing the statistics of all hounds, the bookmakers believe that Nastasi has the best chances of winning the race, thus he has been awarded with excellent odds. He is definitely the right choice, as his recent performances have been good. The punters will also be looking forward to place a lot of bets on him.
The T. Soppitt’s trained hound does not have a lot of experience, but he has taken part in five Grade OR events and his performances in them have been pretty much decent. He has managed to win a couple of them and finished third on one occasion. This shows that he is a quality runner and will make things difficult for his rivals today.
However, the black dog was unable to make a big impression in his most recent outing, as he finished fifth in it. He had a troublesome race, as his start was slow and did not get a clear run at all. He has the tools to bounce back though, as his stamina is very good.
Nastasi is the son of Brett Lee out of Saritamer and was born in May 2010. He is the youngest of all participants in the race today.
On the other hand, Swift Frogma might manage to challenge his opponents at Nottingham, as he has the tools to finish on top of the table. He has got plenty of experience, which will encourage the punters some bets in his favour as well.
However, the G. Ballentine’s trainee does not seem to be carrying a good momentum at the moment, as he finished fourth in his most recent outing. He has just managed to win once out of his past five appearances in this class.
