Nastia Liukin-Great athlete or s****. little brat?

Question

First of all I am an American and very proud of how we are doing. Yes, US for the Gold! But on the other hand, I know what manners are. Her dad's quote, "gold is the only color we see in this family". WTF is that!? Its people like that that make America look bad. How embarassing. Now, Shawn Johnson. Thats what an athlete should be like. Nastia and her sticking her nose up at the cameras, just being nervous or concentrating? Nope, just that blond little brat girl that you just want to choke thats in every highschool. What do you guys think?

All i know she's clearly a great gymnast, being the all around gold medalist. Unless you know her through her life than you really can't assume she's s****. though.

She is both.  She does seem snotty on camera, but we can not know how she is in person.  Shawn Johnson rooms with her and gets along with her, so maybe she is simply focused and stressed.  Gymnastics is a sport that is judged by 10'ths, 100ths, and 1000'ths.  One must be nearly perfect to even be in contention for the medals.  Most Gymnast I have meet are a on the snooty side, and they are not on the same level as Nastia,  I think it comes with the territory.

shawn is so sweet. she takes winning in any position, shes a good sport, and smiles alot. nastia seems a bit s****. always looking defeated, and sometimes she seems like shes better than the rest. i like her though. but i think shawn is sweeter. by far...

I think she's a wonderful athlete! Although I really do love Shawn Johnson. Could she be any more adorable?

My first impression was I thought she was very stuck up, but I realized that all throughout history, russian gymnasts have this confident aura about themselves.  It may seem like snobbish, but they are very serious people, and although the USSR has dismantled, russian gymnasts are still very good.

that's what her dad said because he was a gold medal gymnast and her mom was a gymnast and so they expect so much of her and that's why her father and her mother push her so harshly because they were great to and its not nastia's fault that that's what her dad said.

i think she is a wonderful yoiung lady and you cant compare her to shawn johnson! and ya she was just concentraiting i dont know if you are a gymnast but i am and i can tell you gymnastics is not only physicaly brutal its also a lot of mental stuff to so lets stick youi on a 4 inch wide beam 3 feet off the ground and make you flip if you know how to do one now get up on the beam and try youd be scared as heck if you werent a gymnast...which i dont know if you are but still!!!!
