Nastia Lukin tiebreaker?

Do you think that there would be all of these complaints if Nastia Lukin won the tiebreaker and got the gold? I think that the only reason for all these complaints is because China won the gold not the U.S.

  1. I don't think it's because China won.  If you honestly were to take those two routines and make them from two different countries to get rid of any bias and view them side-by-side Nastia's was the better routine.  It was more fluid.  It has less visible errors.  He made several visible mistakes; three of which I could count and I am no where near a gymnastics expert.  If I can pick out mistakes then we have a problem.  Don't get me wrong she had a great routine and deserved the score she got, but Nastia deserved a higher score for a more perfect routine.

  2. h**l yes because it was wack either way. if me and someone else get the same score then we are tied. point blank. what i think they should have done was make them do the entire routine again. i'm sure someone would have messed up the 2nd time. then that would have been fair. the judges were def cheating for some of those chinese olympians tho. but the tiebreaker decision was wack.

  3. I think that if Lukin had won and not the Chinese lady, there would still be a lot of questions.  I for one, do not like the "winning at any cost or by any means" syndrome.  With what has happened in the vault, beam, and other competitions, it is plainly obivous that the system is unfair, open to bais, and run very poorly.  I think the real question is can the Olympics survive without an overhaul of the system of judging?  Questions I have are:  why aren't the judges faces shown?  Why isn't the score given by each judge shown (the way they add or deduct points)?  Why isn't the computer programmed to show how each judge scores country by the scores the judge gives their competitiors? Why isn't the IOC involved in monitoring each judge and their performance?  I used to love to watch the Olympics because I was taught that if you lose fair and square, the other person did better on that day.  Fact of life.  But with the current questions on the judging and not only in the gymnastics but others, the Olympics is almost as ugly as a south Louisiana mudslinging election.

  4. when there's a same score for gold medal, usually they count how many marks were deducted for their mistakes. And seems like Lukin had more marks deducted so the chinese won.

"I think that the only reason for all these complaints is because China won the gold not the U.S."

And i totally agree with you!

  5. I think she was robbed of a medal that she deserved, I don't think it mattered that China won and not the US...I saw it and what happened wasn't right.

  6. If there was something fishy behind it... probably... but what China is doing is very VERY suspicious in my book... :/ and IF those girls are underage, then very VERY against the rules... and it really seems like the judges do favor China this year....
