  1. I think the women's gymnastics is severely flawed. Not only for what happened today its been going on all along.  Notice how the judges took forever on one event to give a USA contender her scores, but when the Chinese went in the scores were up right away?  They also deducted severely on USA scores but praised the Chinese errors?  One example is Alicia on the vault where she did not fall and made a perfect landing for a bronze, but wait a Chinese girl fell on her knees and won the bronze that Alicia clearly deserved!  Another is the flawed so called tie score they gave Nastia and that other Chinese girl, but somehow miraculously the Chinese girl won by a point!  I wished they would've at least had them both compete for the tie but nope lets just give to good old China. Its okay because we all know its flawed and I don't consider it an actual medal deserved but a hypocrisy!

  2. I'd fu*K alicia for sure.

Prolly a bit short for my tastes...

    but hey!!

    I banged a hot olympian!!!!!

  3. That's a very novel question.

    I'll look into it.

She should have won whatever she got.

If she won the tie-break then she should have won gold, but since she lost, she gets silver. It's pretty much how things work.

  4. Totally!!! The judging has been completely ridiculous! I guess everyone is anti usa

  5. What's sad is the tie breaking system for that event completely takes away from what the athletes actually did. Gymnastics is already a subjective sport. Because of the rules about using neutral judges, you already have the top athletes being judged by less competent judges. Then you start taking away more and more of those already subjective scores, and it comes down to whether the judges were even competent to begin with.

I'm not going to say Nastia should have won the event outright. While her routine was more graceful and technically executed, I though the Chinese girl showed more athleticism - especially with that double release. But I do think that if the judges scores result in a tie, the tie should stand.

  6. No.  Yang Yiling shouldve won gold.  She was given bronze.  Yet, she had the biggest smile of them all on the medals stand.

  7. Yes. I was watching it and i though definitely shes gonna get gold wtf?, she was by far the best in my opinion

  8. Here is how He Kexin of China and Olympic all-around champion Nastia Liukin finished with the same score on the uneven bars but different medals:

WHERE IT STARTS: Liukin and He each scored a 16.725. They had identical 7.7 start values (the measure of a routine’s difficulty) and 9.025 execution scores. The execution mark is based on the perfect 10.0 scale, and is arrived at by tossing out the highest and lowest of the six judges’ marks, and averaging the remaining four.

THE FIRST TIE-BREAK: The four deductions that counted are added together and averaged. He and Liukin were still tied.

THE SECOND TIE-BREAK: The three-lowest deductions are added together and averaged. He had .933 in deductions and Liukin had .966, meaning He had .033 less in deductions—and was declared the winner.

  9. Yes she should have won gold and been 1st with He instead of second because of some dumb tie-breaker.  If it had to be broken, I say they should have re-done their routine and their scores averaged, the best one gets the gold, second best gets silver.

  10. Hi ,I am a Chinese student from Beijing .

I am so happy to see there are so many who like gymnastics as i am.

how to say, these days when i browsed the website , i saw a lot comments about the age and judges……

I want to tell you, when CCTV broadcasted the gymnastic competition, the host gave compliment to both liukin and other competitors, and a international famed judge of our contury who also is the host of the brodcast explained why he won gold while liukin didn‘t.

but when my classmate and I saw the NBC broadcast online, we feel so sad, i don't know why bela always thought if the US didn't win, then it is unfair.

here in China, the American team really have a lot fans.

shawn johnson is one of our favoriates.

she had three silver. there are even many Chinese wish that she could get a gold on balance beem although we also want the Chinese girl to win too. really we like Shawn.

I really wish some of you guys could come to China , experience the real China ,  For this Olympic, China makes great effort, yet we know we can't make everyone satisfied. nothing is perfect. Welcome!

wish all the players get good score on the balance beem!

  11. Double gold is the only fair thing to do.

  12. yeah she should have she deserved it...i feel bad for her she even thought she had it

  13. Oh f'sho!! What the **** is up with that tie breaking system!!? They should have just had them run through their routines again or something, I mean they have been practicing for this all of their lives I don't see why they should cut out half off the judges scores and leave it up to a single judge who possibly wasn't even qualified. Absolutly ridiculous. But at least she won the "all around" gold!!

  14. when americans win, it is fair. when americans lose, then there must a conspiracy?

seems the whole world are anti-usa!!!

    that's ridiculous!!!

    it's a competation,there is only one winner.no cheating,no unfair.

all judgments gave her the second rank, only showed she's not as good as the chinese athlere.

just be a gentleman n accept the result!!!
