Nasty Program Installing Itself On my PC & Running as a Process: How can I permanently delete it?

Is any one out there who can walk me through getting rid of this thing called Antivirus. It pop up and installed itself on my PC night before last and slowed my PC to a grinding halt until found it running as a process and ended it. It is VERY aggressive, though. It left this image (SEE: http://www.pababoxing.com/temp1/dsktop.JPG) on my desktop and re(installed) itself again last night.

How can I get this c**p off my desktop? How can I permanently

remove this c**p?

i would get free program from download .com and scan computer for malware  and spyware ,also get free anti-virus proam as well and scan computer get rid of all unwanted  programs

Buy a good antivirus program and scan everything and then make sure to use your firewall, close all your open unneeded  ports etc.

are you sure thats whats making your com slow because it sounds like this is a downloaded virus. to answer this question i ould need to know the name of the programme ith out the name the only information i have is that it is some sort of anti virus. it dosent seem right that a antivirus is causing this programme take it to pc world they can give it a computer MOT and speed it up tell them about the programme they will deal with that whilst fixing any other problems your computer may have

I would suggest calling  those geeks (not to be mean, you known that geek squad). Or maybe whoever sold you the computer. They'll be able to tell you. If you don't do that, you can try help and support in your control panel. Good Luck though!
