NatWest Women’s Quadrangular Series 2011 – England Women v http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 Women – Match Preview
The fourth One Day International (ODI) match of the NatWest Women’s Quadrangular Series is scheduled to take off on Saturday, July 2, 2011 at County Ground, Derby.
The game is set to star the hosts, England Women, taking on the New Zealand Women.
Previously, the two teams met under the T20 format of the series where the English women ravaged the Kiwis with an 8 wickets win.
The upcoming game, therefore, offers the capable New Zealand Women with a break to make a comeback against the English ladies.
Starting with the overall arena, the weather probabilities for Saturday’s match suggest a partly cloudy day that may cause some trouble for whichever team choosing to bat first.
As for the field predictions, the County Ground may prove to be a little favorable for the bowlers since not many teams have accumulated high scores on the respective pitch.
However, whatever prevails during the match, England Women may have a better edge. Not only because the team is in its fittest form but also because the English recently played their first match of the series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 Women in the same ground.
This provides the English batters with a better understanding of the pitch.
The Kiwi bowlers may need to keep an out for the English Captain CM Edwards, who in her previous match scored a half century, along with batters Wyatt, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Taylor-c92915, and Greenway.
All these players have proved to be quite productive with the bat and have recently been scoring decent double digits.
On the other side, with players like EC Perry on their side, New Zealand Women need not to worry much, as far as the batting goes.
In the recent T20 NatWest Quadrangular Series, Perry stood out as the highest scorer of the tournament.
Apart from Perry, the Kiwi squad also holds a decent opening order with Doolan, Mackay, Bates, and McGlashan.
As for the expected bowling, the match may provide an assortment of bowling performances as both the teams have a wicket scoring attack.
For England Women, Kiwi batters may face some trouble from HL Colvin, and A Brindle. Both the bowlers have been consistent wicket takers. Others include KH Brunt, IT Guha, LA http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Simon-James-Marshall-c90362.
The New Zealand Women too have the best of the lot. The side is set to come out with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/NJ-Browne-c79768, SW Bates, KS Anderson, KE Broadmore, AL Watkins, and LR Doolan.
