The NatWest Women’s T20 Quadrangular Series took off with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/A-Swift-c41334 start at the Toby Howe Cricket Ground at Billericay, on June 23, 2011, as Australia Women took on India Women.
As the Australians won the toss and took up fielding, the Indian innings came to a troubled halt as the team managed to accumulate a meager total of just 62 runs with a loss of all 10 wickets in 18.2 overs.
The Indian openers quickly returned to the pavilion as PG Raut managed to add just 4 runs to the scoreboard followed by skipper AA http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Deshpande-c53821, who departed with a single run included to the total.
At a minor total of 8 the Australian side earned its 3rd wicket as http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sarah-Coyte-c88762 bowled out M Raj for just 2 runs.
The consistent Indian loss came to a slight halt as H Kaur entered the field.
Kaur, along with her fellow batter V Krishnamurthy, elevated the total to 27. However, the partnership could not last for long as the Australian bowling dominated.
With Kaur’s major contribution to the Indian total, Krishnamurty left after scoring 2 runs for her side after being stumped by the Australian skipper JM Fields.
It was Kaur who managed to hold on the bat as fellow players kept falling. However, DP David and A Sharma fell on ducks.
Wicket Keeper http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pradhan-c82439 and G Sultana, who fell, adding nothing to the scoreboard. All three players fell victim to Coyte’s bowling.

The only major contributor to the Indian Women team was http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Hugh-Morris-c63550 Kaur who ended her innings with a decent total of 41 runs. Kaur’s score included 3 fours and 2 sixes.
The Indians managed to score a total of six boundaries including 4 fours and 2 sixes.
As for the bowling side, the primary wicket taker for the Australian team was SJ Coyte who bowled a brilliant spell after earning 4 wickets for her squad giving away just 5 runs.
Bowlers CR http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Smith-c90598 and S Nitschke acquired 2 wickets each in their full spells and gave 16 and 10 runs respectively.
LC Sthalekar and RL Haynes, each got 1 wicket while EA Osborne failed to earn any.
