Nataani searching hat-trick over fences in Ladbrokes Novices´ Hurdle at Worcester
Jo Davis’ useful chaser, Nataani, was an impressive winner on his previous two starts over fences, and looks in an ideal state to complete a hat-trick in the Ladbrokes Novices´ Hurdle at Worcester on Thursday, October 11th.
The 9-year-old ran plenty of good races last year, but remained unsuccessful. His unlucky journey continued in 2012, as he secured the runner-up place thrice at the start of this season.
After a gap of almost three and a half years, the veteran runner finally met success in June. The audience at Worcester saw him grabbing the first position in the Royal Ascot Free Betting With freebetting.co.uk Handicap Chase.
Despite a lazy start, Nataani managed to lead a couple of furlongs before the finishing line. A consistent effort helped him claim the victory comfortably by eight lengths.
After tasting success, the Tony Worth-owned did not let things go out of his hands, and continued to perform well. On his last trip at Bangor-on-dee, the son of Presenting overpowered his opponents in the Printfine Novices' Chase.
After racking up a couple of fine wins, the Mrs Patricia Ryan-bred is in good shape, and looks fully ready to strike another victory. He is due to face nine opponents in today’s 2m7f meeting. On Worcester’s good surface, the participants will lock horns
for a cash prize worth £2,534. The class 4 event will be kicked off at 16:00 GMT.
God Of The Kop, trained by Rebecca Curtis, suddenly lost his rhythm after a couple of wonderful performances at the start of his career. The 5-year-old was last seen at Punchestown, where he ended up eighth in the Kildare Post INH Flat Race in April. Old
Vic’s son, who was a wide-margin bumper winner in January, is an interesting recruit, and will have a role to play.
Mr Moss is another fairly useful chaser, and deserves to be shortlisted on return to this sphere. The Evan Williams-trained was an impressive winner last time, when he beat the 10-11 favourite, Emmaslegend, in Toteexacta Novices' Chase at Stratford.
God Of The Kop and Mr Moss are dangerous competitors, but Nataani still remains the most solid option. We wish the best of luck to all the horses.
