Natalia Perminova punishes Simone Prutsch in Women’s Singles qualifying round at Yonex Denmark Open
Russia’s talented player Natalia Perminova found a good start as she easily registered a comprehensive victory over Austria’s Simone Prutsch in Women’s Singles qualifying round at the Yonex Denmark Open Premier Super Series 2012 in Denmark, on Tuesday, October
16.
The lofty Natalia, who participated in the tournament as an un-seeded player, delivered a superb performance in her first contest in the championship and she easily gave a severe lesson to Simone by finishing up the match in a lopsided manner.
Natalia was in spectacular form on court as she moved in all corners of the court with impressive speed and took the bird quite early which helped her to stay in commanding position and overpowered her rival in straight sets with a wonderful margin on the
board.
On the contrary, Simone was not ready for such a severe treatment as she failed to play attacking badminton against her in-form Russian challenger and crashed out without showing even a meagre resistance on court.
Russian shuttler started her campaign in a dominating fashion in the first set as she played fast and positive badminton and took a stunning lead at the initial stage.
The powerful smashes and deceptive shots at net helped Natalia to stay ahead of her rival on score board and she reached at 11-3 until the end of first half.
After the one-minute break, Natalia did not slow down the pace of the game and also maintained pressure on her Austrian rival throughout the set and took it with a crushing 21-10 margin on the score board.
In the following set, Natalia again set high standard of the game as she did not let her rival to even get close on score board and remained in commanding position until the end of first half by reaching at 11-5.
Russian player in at her best on court and she continued her dominating performance in the concluding phase of second game and easily grabbed it in a dictating fashion with a huge margin of 21-14.
The in-form Natalia won this qualifying round clash in straight games with a completely one-sided 21-10 and 21-14 score on the board.
