Natalie Gulbis and Andre Agassi inaugurate the new high-tech Golf and Tennis Store in Las Vegas
The dazzling Las Vegas strip will now also be the home of the newest high tech golf and tennis store. The store, named as ‘Las Vegas Golf & Tennis Superstore’, was inaugurated by two of the biggest sportspersons in the world, Andre Agassi and Natalie Gulbis,
who are also the residents of Las Vegas.
The golf section of the store is associated with the brand TaylorMade, while the tennis section is supported by Addidas. Agassi’s old friend and the owner of the store spoke on the occasion, “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be opening another golf retail
shop, so centralized at that, with the help of TaylorMade Golf, This has been a family-owned business for nearly 40 years, and we look forward to continuing to provide the community with not just golf and tennis equipment, but job opportunities and commerce
as well.”
Almost half of the golf store boasts of TaylorMade equipment, apparel and accessories. The store also offers the exclusive TaylorMade fitting centre which uses high tech computers and monitors to allow customers to have the same kind of fitting as those
of professional golfers. The store also offers club repairs and other related assistance.
The TaylorMade Whiteout covered the spacious 15000 square-feet warehouse for the star studded inaugural ceremony where Gulbis and Agassi were seen thronged by their fans. The Whiteout also paid tribute to one of the cutting edge R11 Drivers technology, which
has completely changed the traditional way of playing golf. TaylorMade Executive Vice President, David Abeles, who had just returned from the Masters, revealed that half of the 99 players at the Masters were using the TaylorMade driver, and claimed it is the
only driver in the market that allows the golfer to alter the angle of loft, angle of the club and the angle of dispersion.
He also justified the white paint on the club, citing that the colour contrast made it easier for the player to adjust with, as many of the PGA Tour players had asked to put the contrast in place. Gulbis spoke of the visible improvement she noticed while
using the new driver.
“I am hitting the ball 15 yards farther this season than last year, and getting home in two on par 5s that I never would have before,” said Gulbis. “This was the most exciting off season I have had in my career and that is because of what TaylorMade has
created.” Gulbis, who has lived most of her life in Vegas, works with Butch Harmon at the Butch Harmon School of Golf, at the Rio Secco Golf Club. The store is located on the Dean Martin Drive, north of the famous In-N-Out Burger. On the other side of the
freeway, is the glistering CityCentre.
