Nathan Adrian conquers Men’s 50m freestyle title in Georgia: 2011 USA Swimming Winter Nationals
Nathan Adrian continued to the impress the arena during the opening evening session of the 2011 USA Swimming Winter Nationals, in Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday, December 1.
More importantly, Adrian went on to win the Men’s 50m freestyle title against his rivals in the puddle by bashing the finishing divider in a scintillating time of 21.85 seconds. The splash fell short of his season best meet record of 21.84 seconds, set back
at the Summer Nationals.
Meanwhile, Rola Schoeman claimed silver title in the respective race by thrashing the finishing wall in a time of 22.19 seconds and the bronze title went to Fred Bousquet in a spot of 22.37 seconds. Afterwards, Gar Weber Gale of Longhorn Aquatic earned fourth
place honour by hitting the finishing fence in a mark of 22.40 seconds.
Josh Schneider of SwimMac Carolina got fifth position in the respective splash in a mark of 22.51 seconds, while the sixth place went to Matthe Grevers of Tucson Ford Deal in a mark of 22.54 seconds. Alexan Coville and Gideon Louw grabbed seventh and eighth
positions by claiming the finishing barrier in a time of 22.56 seconds and 22.58 seconds. Pavel Babaev finished ninth in a time of 22.75 seconds, whereas, the tenth place went to Adam Small in a spot of 22.76 seconds, respectively.
In the meantime, the Men’s 50m freestyle B final heat was clinched by Cullen Jones of SwimMac Carolina in a winning mark of 22.52 seconds and the second position went to Joseph Hale of Redlands Swim Te in a time of 22.64 seconds. Last, but not the least,
the third place honour was taken over by Masay Kishida of Tucson Ford Deal in a mark of 22.64 seconds.
Additionally, Graeme Moore of California Aquat finished top spot by banging the finishing divider in a winning blot of 22.82 seconds to win the Men’s 50m freestyle C final heat. Meanwhile, David Walters wound up second place in a time of 22.93 seconds and
the third place went to Simon Burnett of Tucson Ford Deal in a spot of 22.99 seconds.
