Question:

Nathan Buckley - do you think he should employ a ghost writer for his weekly newspeper column?

He started this weeks artricle outlining the traumas players have tro put up with being AFL players & that they have a life to live as well as play football.

Fair enough, but he compared a day his pet dog was run over to Alan Didak appearing in court after that drunken shooting fiasco after a night in a strip club.

What was Buckley paid when he was playing? I'd put up with a fair bit if I was being paid a million bucks or so a year to play football (Sponsorship etc included).

I thought the way the artricle was written was quite ridiculous. Looks like now he isn't playing anymore he is missing out on all the interesting footy gossip. Get yourself a ghost writer, Bucks!

  2. Yes. He should.

Or maybe he already has one. I have read a number of his columns & haven't found one to be interesting as yet.

He should follow suit of Robert Walls & Ackers./

  3. I have never read his column but I wouldn't mind checking it out... it would have to be better than Akers!

  4. No,

Bucks dosen't need a ghost writer, he got paid do write that  and it was pretty funny so it dosen't matter. And by the way what paper was that in?

  5. Maybe he should.

Some players just can't take tro the media on reirement (Ross Glendinning was one). If his weekly columns aren't nuch chop they will be phased out by the powers to be.

He was popular with all the Collingwood fans when he retired  so he could have written in the Watch Tower & they would have made a donation to get that!

  6. My bet he has someone write it for him now.

Lucky some of these footballers have the skills to play the game & make a good living because if it wasn't for the game some would really battle to make a living!
