Dcruz, who is un-seeded in the draw of Men’s Singles qualifying-round, delivered a sensational performance against the seventh seed Matejka and won the fight in straight sets.
English player consumed just 26 minutes in the court and stamped his supremacy over his Slovak opponent in an emphatic fashion.
In the first game, both shuttlers played fast game and tried to create gap but no one could manage it until the score reached at 5-5. At this stage, Dcruz showed his elevated play and started to build lead by playing focused and planned badminton.
Dcruz showed his supremacy in the game by dominating rallies against his higher ranked challenger and set up a superb lead of 11-5 until the 60-second break.
After the break, Matejka tried to reduce the difference by playing attacking game but failed to dominate the rallies because his opponent was quicker in all areas of the court.

In the second game, Matejka again failed to dictate the pace of rallies as his English rival was in complete control of the game. Dcruz took an early lead without facing any resistance from his opponent.
English shuttler was moving quite smoothly and his sharp reflexes were quite impressive which helped him to take the bird early from all areas of the court. Until the interval, Dcruz was ahead of his opponent on the score board by reaching at 11-5.
After the break, the lower ranked English shuttler continued his roller-coaster run in the match and took no time in winning the second game with a tremendous margin of 21-12.
