Nathan or Nathaniel?

Daddy loves Nathan, I like Nathaniel

I know they're similar but I know too many Nathan's and they arent the nicest of people, so it kinda puts me of just 'Nathan' Nickname will be Nate..

If you have a long surname choose Nathan, if you have a short surname choose Nathaniel. It usually sounds better that way. Both are nice. :-)

Nathaniels can still be called Nate...or Thaniel....

but I've never met a Nathan and the only Nathaniel I know wasn't really a stand up character... However despite real life people, they're both strong good names that look dignified and I'm sure your baby boy will grow up to be a gentleman so no worries...

Honestly?  I think both names are awful so I'd go back to the drawing board, find one you both like that sounds and looks better

Nathaniel is a great name. One of my favorites. Nate is a perfect nickname. Nothing to be teased over. Yet unique enough to stand out.
