Nathan or Nathaniel?

Daddy loves Nathan, I like Nathaniel

I know they're similar but I know too many Nathan's and they arent the nicest of people, so it kinda puts me of just 'Nathan' Nickname will be Nate..

  3. If you have a long surname choose Nathan, if you have a short surname choose Nathaniel. It usually sounds better that way. Both are nice. :-)

    but I've never met a Nathan and the only Nathaniel I know wasn't really a stand up character... However despite real life people, they're both strong good names that look dignified and I'm sure your baby boy will grow up to be a gentleman so no worries...
