The in-form Ng Poau and Shevon showed their incredible skills on court as they played with wonderful control in their shots and ended up this Women’s Doubles battle while taking the court time for just 21 minutes.
Ng Poau and Shevon were in complete command on court as they played terrific badminton without showing any mercy to their compatriots and eventually wrapped up a comprehensive victory in straight sets with a convincing margin of 21-15 and 21-10.
On the contrary, Kisona and Tew Jia gave a good fight in the starting points of the match but they failed to maintain focus and conceded many points by making simple errors. They lost the fight without proving their mettle.
In the opening set, the aggressive Ng Poau and Shevon delivered a spectacular performance in the arena as they employed their lofty skills and took over the charge of rallies.
The unmatched variations in Ng Poau and Shevon’s shots helped them to stay focused and maintain their superiority in the arena.
Ng Poau and Shevon advanced with an impressive speed in the first part and set up a huge lead until the one-minute break in first set.
After the mid-game interval, Kisona and Tew Jia tried their best to put up strong resistance but could not control the pace of rallies and remained trailing far behind.
It was an uninterrupted ride for the in-form Ng Poau and Shevon who did not face any trouble from their rivals in winning the first game with a solid margin of 21-15.
In the second set, Ng Poau and Shevon did not lose their concentration at any stage in the starting half as they played attacking but positive badminton and remained far ahead on the board until the one-minute interval.
After the break, Ng Poau and Shevon maintained their domination in the arena and easily finished off the second game with a huge margin of 21-10 and won this battle in straight sets.
