I unfortunatly am in 8th. Grade but I can't wait for next year with FFA. Did you drive your tractor to schoo? What kind and model was it?

As you can maybe tell, my avatar name is jdmann4020, John Deere and 4020, the tractor from the 60's and 70's. Anyways, I just wanted to know.

  1. no we are not crazy

  2. my bosses grandson wanted to but Grandpa said NO!!!

I do believe he meant it

  3. I would have liked to impress the ladies by showing up on a JD 8010 with duals on the rear and front. Now a few might be unimpressed, but one needs only impress a few girls who showed up on a David Brown 880.

Of course the 8010 and DB880 did not show up for many years after I was in high school.

When I was in HS we were farming a sq km with a Ferguson tractor.

  4. my nephew always did when he was in school. we live in a farming community, and it was always fun to watch the parade of tractors going to the school

  5. High school was a long time ago, but I did.  I could have driven some of my Dad's bigger tractors, but I always drove the little Farmall H because it was so cute and got a lot of attention!

I look better on a red tractor, but I have spent many hours on JD 4020's.  They are my favorite for moving round bales.

  6. no but this week national ffa week  at my school we got to eat pizza and have soda only if we warn our ffa shirts what are some things that your  school does for ffa week??

  7. I think it good that you are participating in FFA.  Therefore, you know there's more to FFA than tractors.

While I too old to be in high school, I do not remember my FFA friends driving any tractors to school.   Concerning tractors---

Would I drive my tractor to school for one of my kids or one of their friends.  Sure,  its a massey furgeson TO-35,  (Tractor over seas with a 35 hp engine).  I wish it was a deluxe.

Two of my children drive the tractor, and so does my significant other.  P.S.  we named the tractor Mr. Hanney,  a name that appears in the TV show Green Acres,  Go ARNOLD
