National Hockey League (NHL) Players with most responsibility in the Eastern Conference -Part 2
The Eastern Conference still has a lot to do even though it has won the Stanley Cup this time around, which is still considered by most to be a pure fluke and extremely good luck seeing what Vancouver Canucks were capable of.
There are a number of players, especially on the Eastern side which need to step up and become leaders instead of continuing it play like they always have. Not only will this be better for the team but also in the end for the individual player as well.
David Krejci (Centre, Boston Bruins)
The Boston Bruins might have become the Stanley Cup champions, but it is still unclear as to how they accomplished such a feat. Why? It is because they are not a shooting team which usually offensively intimidates the opponent. Defensively, they are very
good, but when it comes to scaring the goalie and making him slip, Boston just does not have what it takes.
It requires players like David Krejci, who is Bruins 63rd overall pick of round-two of the 2004 National Hockey League (NHL) Entry Draft. The Czech Republic native has been scoring a lot of points ever since he began playing in the league during
the 2006-2007 regular season, but the ratio of goals to assists is just too wide.
Last season, Krejci scored an impressive, 62 points  but in that figure, only 13 were goals and the rest were assists, which make him even lower than what normal defenseman manage to score playing 75 games. If Boston is to become a better team overall and
repair those aspects of their franchise which had them struggling to reach the playoff finals for over 30 years, than  it surely is time to change something.
Ryan Miller (Goalie, Buffalo Sabres)
Ryan Miller has become a seasoned goalie and at the age of 31, he has achieved a lot throughout his colourful career. For the past nearly six seasons, Miller has been the go-to man for Buffalo Sabres and is their superstar in every respect. Without him,
Buffalo would seem empty and his performance during the last playoffs was impressive enough.
Mentioning last season, it should be kept in view that this performance came after a season which gave him the Vezina Trophy, which merely makes it a season worth just barely mentioning.
Being a player of his calibre, Miller should be able to carry his team up like Tim Thomas and Roberto Luongo did.
