Jeff Skinner
Jeff Skinner is one of the revelations of the season. At the start of the season not much was expected from him but with the performances and consistency that he has shown, he has certainly made a name for himself in the league. The shocking thing about
his youngster is the fact that he is only 18 years old.
Though he has emerged as a strong player of the league but it should be kept in mind that he plays in a Carolina Hurricanes team which is very strong offensively. Not only this but some of the best technicians of the game also play for them creating numerous
chances for the front players. However, there is no doubt over the capabilities of Jeff Skinner as scoring is a very important art in the game and from the looks of it this kid has mastered them already.
Jeff Skinner is a strong player to lift the Rookie of the Year award this season as he currently leads all the rookies in terms of points scored which are 40. There is bright future ahead of him and being an important part of the Hurricanes roster this player
is surely to achieve a lot if he continues to do what he has been doing so far in the season.
Paul Stastny
Paul Stastny of the Colorado Avalanche is one of the highly underrated players of the league. He has a lot of talent and the skilled that he has makes him one of the best players in the league. One of the reasons that Stastny is underrated is due to the
fact that other players around him have come up with decent performances in the season so far.
Nonetheless, he is one player who has a lot of potential and is flooded with loads of talent. At times he has taken the burden of taking whole of the Colorado team along when some of the important players in the squad have come across injuries.
Coupled with the fact that he is brilliant forward, Paul Stastny is a decent centre too. This added benefit allows him to play the pivotal role at times with no drop in his performance whether playing up front or creating chances for them. So far in the
season, Stastny has scored 43 points and cements his starting position in the Avalanche squad.
Dany Heatley
Dany Heatley is one player who is expected to be among the top ten in the list but his lack of producing goals during the season has resulted in him being lower down. Dany Heatley is one player in the league who is capable of doing a lot more than he has
so far this season.
It is by no means wrong to say that he has underperformed so far in the season. But it’s not his fault has he has coming across a few injuries and is still recovering from them. He has scored 43 points out of the 50 games he has played. If the San Jose Sharks
are looking to go for the top spot in the Western Conference then they need to put their foot on the gas with Dany Heatley playing a key role if not leading.
