Do i still have to pay National Insurance Tax even though i'm 17? I know i dont have to pay income tax but i've had to pay national insurance since i got my job

  1. Yes as long as you are over the 105 ponds per week earning threshold, you pay NI  


  2. You pay national insurance tax from 16 years old ,and right up to retiring age.65 for men at the moment .

  3. You do yes - you start paying NI when you're 16 unfortunately.

  4. As soon as you start work you have to pay your NIT. You also will have to pay income tax.

    As soon as you recieve your National Insurance Number...that's it...you have to pay. I think you get that at about the age of 16. I recieved my NI Card at school.

  5. if you are part time or earn under £101 you don`t pay nat ins, then the more you earn after this amount the more you pay.
