Hello,

I am confused about how much (if any) I should be paying.

I am 16 years old in full time education, and currently working full time for £200 a week.

I am paying £10.45 in NI, is this correct??

Thankyou

  1. That's right. You can check by imputing wage into www.listentotaxman, or looking at www.hmrc.ni/rates. You can earn £90 a week before you have to pay NIC, after that you pay 11%.

  2. http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndB...

check out the goverment site. good luck

  3. Are you sure it's NI  u r paying? Not income tax?

Ring your local tax office, or Social Security office and ask them.

How can you be in full time ed as well as working full time?

    Something not right here.

  4. I think its correct - see

  5. sounds about right - how are you working full time?

  6. Yea, you're lucky to be honest, might go up when you get older
