NRL round 25: Roosters break skid with win over Sea Eagles
The Sydney Roosters managed to put a halt to their losing streak with a win over the Manly Sea Eagles at home in Sydney Football Stadium on Sunday.
The Roosters were able to stack up an impressive five tries on their way to a victory over the Eagles. The visitors got off to a strong start taking an eight point lead into half-time. However, after the break the Sydney-siders were able to battle back with an impressive four tries in the second half, cementing a 30-14 victory.

The Sea Eagles got on the board first with a try from Michael Robertson in the fifth minute. Jamie Lyon followed with a conversion and the visitors went ahead 6-0 early.
The Eagles kept the pressure on early with a second try courtesy of Steve Matai in the 22nd minute and after Lyon punted home his second conversion the Manly squad took a 12-0 lead.
In the 38th minute Lyon continued his fine day from the tee, hitting a penalty to push the lead out to 14-0.
Nevertheless, just before the half Shaun Kenny-Dowall was able to muscle his way over the line and Todd Carney followed up with a conversion to reduce the deficit to 14-6 heading into the break.
After halftime the Roosters offence was able to take over, starting with a second try from Kelly-Dowall in the 43rd minute. Carney was able to slot home his second conversion of the day and the Sea Eagles lead was cut to 14-12.
Carney wasted no time getting his team back on the board, hitting a penalty in the 45th minute to tie the game up and then scoring a try and conversion of his own just three minutes later to give the home side an 20-14 lead.
The Roosters kept the pressure on registering a fourth try in the 62nd minute from Sam Perrett, to push the lead out to 24-14.
The game was finally put away three minute later when Kenny-Dowall scored his hat-trick try and Carney slotted home his fourth conversion on the day.
Analysis
The Roosters were finally able to break their losing streak and are now sitting in sixth spot. The win cemented a play-off spot for the Sydney club.
The Sea Eagles now sit in seventh with the loss and are only two points out of ninth place. The Manly side will need to win their final game of the season in order to guarantee a post-season spot.
