National coach Tey Seu Bock says Lee Chong Wei will shine at the 2011 Japan Open Super Series

Malaysia’s national coach for Singles, Tey Seu Bock is optimistic for the better performance of Men’s Singles World Number One, Lee Chong Wei at the upcoming 2011 Japan Open Super Series, which will kick-off in Tokyo, Japan, from Tuesday, on September 20.
Chong Wei seems to have recovered from the disappointment he got after losing the title-match to China’s Lin Dan at last month’s World Championships in London. The top seed in the world is now ready to clinch the Japan Open title to gain confidence for the
2012 London Olympics.
The 28-year-old Chong Wei is the only Malaysian Men’s Singles shuttler in the Japan Open, as the Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) have not sent any other singles male shuttler in this Super Series event.
The World Number One has participated in eight international events in the current year so far, and he has reached in the final of every tournament. He won six out of the eight events this year and lost only two title-matches including the 2011 Korea Open
Premier Super Series and 2011 BWF World Championships.
Chong Wei has been training well for the last couple of weeks and is ready to shine in Japan Open, which is his first participation in any event after the World Championships. Seu Bock is satisfied with his preparation for the tournament as he is in good
shape at the moment.
The coach said, “This will be his first tournament since the World Championships in England (where he lost to Lin Dan of China in the final).”
While talking about his physical condition, the coach added, “His condition is good and I hope he will perform well. He is not taking anything for granted.”
In the Japan Open, Chong Wei will face some top shuttlers on his road to the final, as he is drawn in the upper half of the Men’s Singles, where Peter Hoeg Gade of Denmark and Wang Zhengming of China will also compete for glory. However, the top seed is
expected to pass these hurdles as he is in tremendous form.
