  1. See you other answer. HRP form - fill it out

HRP may cover it. Carers allowance should pay your full stamp

You don't have to pay it is voluntary

  2. The period for when the £150 is due, should be paid by either your employer if you were working at the time,or job centre if you were signing on at the time. When it comes to NI for some reason the Inland Revenue are not very good. They are approaching you,as its easier than chasing up employers or the job centre!

Write back letting them know you were either working or signing on at the said period, giving them:dates, details of address of employer or other.NI number.(they should already have this i know!)Remember to ask for confirmation by post the matter is being looked at or resolved.

Usually you are not in any risk of court action, penalties etc for NI shortfall. It will just affect benefits when you get older, youll get less money!

You may be entiltes to carers allowance if your girlfriend is sick and you have to care for her.Your girlfriend depending on how sick she is may be entitled to direct payments (money)from social services,to pay for additional care she may need. This will not affect her benefits.Hope this helps, take care, mike @sahra
