National insurance number!!?

right i turned 16 4 months ago and was told by older siblings and older friends that i would get it through the post before or after turning 16, as they got theres this way. but theres been not sign of my NI number coming through the post and i really wanted to start a summer job.any ideas where i can get mine from??? thank you to all who answer this question!! HELP!!xx

  1. Should be automatically sent to you before your 16th birthday.

    If you don't have it i'd speak to HM Revenue and Customs.
