I sometimes feel that it would be better if one new the nationality of the asker as it will give us better perspective while answering questions.

  1. for those questions where it is relevant to know the nationality or location of the questioner, it would be smart of him to state it himself if he wants to get useful answers. (or her, respectively)

  2. I think you're right really. Especially in sociology it's so localised.

  3. it is not necessary.

  4. If people are after specifically culturally acceptable answers, then it's up to the questioner to state it in their question.

Lots of differing opinions are offered through the answers, so maybe most feel stating their nationality/cultural heritage/location is not necessary.

  5. Well, yes and no.

Often, it would be better if the asker said where they were, so we'd know whether what we have to say applies.

There have been a lot of people who've requested that our country was somehow given -- like flage with our avatar, or some other way.

On the other hand, it's kinda cool that all we have to go on is what we type. People have to deal with just what we say,not any preconceptions about us, based on things like what s*x we are, or how old, or where we're from.

It's more important for the ASKER to specify where they are (when it's relevant) than for the answerers.

If you knew where I was from, do you think the ideas you'd have of me would be accurate? Why not just take what I SAY,and go from there? Rather than bringing a lot of (mostly false) baggage to it?

  6. no it should not be given as its better right now.

  7. Whatever the regions, brains are similiar.
