  1. Gotta add to PA's answer...

You gotta sign up for PRE Q School for $2500. It's a 4 day tourney at locations around the country.  You make it through that and then you have to get through 2 more stages to make it to the final PGA Tour Q School tourney of 6 rounds and then his answer kicks in.

Check out the stats and how it turned out for players in the 2007 Q school...link below.

  2. The guys on the Nationwide tour are every bit as talented as the PGA tour guys.  The difference comes down to mental toughness.  The Q school is the best indicator of this.  Only the best of the best can hold it together at Q school.  That is why the Nationwide tour takes so many golfers from there.

  3. I just finished reading the book "Q School" last weekend. Here's the scoop. The top 30 and ties at Q School get to the big tour. The next 50 are fully exempt on Nationwide. Also, those that finished between 26th and 65th on the previous years Nationwide money list are in. There are usually around 15 spots available for Monday qualifying.

  4. Each year the nationwide tour has an annual qualifying tournament. To be fully exempt for the year you must finish in the top 50.
