Native American Heritage?

Question

So I want to know how much Cherokee blood I have in me. Here are my Parents family cherokees.

Mom: My grandpa had a grandma who was a full blooded Cherokee. My grandma had a grandma who was a full blooded Cherokee.

Dad: My dad had a great grandma who was a full blooded Cherokee.

Please help me. I really need to know.

Your dad is a 1/4

You are 3/8 or 1/4 and an 1/8

Ok you don't say if  these are your mom's grandpa and grandma or YOUR grandpa and grandma.  I figured it as they were what would be your gg-grandma's and if that is correct you would get 1/8 or 12.5% from that side of the family.

On your dad's side you would get a 1/16 or 6.25%

You add the two together and you would be 3/16 or 18.75% by blood quantum.

You do not say if any of the spouses of the people you mention except for your parents had Native Blood.

Now if you are wanting this information for the purpose of gaining membership in the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma or the Eastern Band of Cherokee there is a catch, and this goes for all the Federally Recognized Tribes or Nations.  You have to be able to prove you descend from someone on the base roll of the Tribe or Nation.  For the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma that would be the Dawes Roll, for the Eastern Band it would be the Baker Roll, The United Keetowah Band of Cherokee also uses the Dawes Roll.  The Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma does not require a minimum blood quantum but the other two do.

    grandpa - 25%                    grandma - 25%

                         your mom - 25%  (12.5% from each parent)
