Native American War coat?

where can I see some good detail of one. I saw one that looked like it had raw hide for armor on Red Cloud. They wear too many accesories and all of the pictures are in Black and white, so it is hard to see the detail of them. anyone know of some really good pictures?

What type of coat?  Breast plates were more common.  Take a look at the few images listed below:

The best source outside of a museum is a book called Native North American Armor, Shields, and Fortifications by David E. Jones.  I believe it was published in 2004.
