  1. Sixteen days are not enough to hold a multi-sport event

  2. Yes 'too few' is right, but I would say 'not long enough', it sounds more like something used nowadays.

  3. "Too few" is the correct usage, and it sounds better than the alternative.

"Too little" implies size, not a numerical count.

  4. Hi,

"Sixteen days are too little"  is definitely incorrect.  Little applies to size, not number.

As some responders have suggested, I would suggest saying sixteen days are not enought to hold.... Or is not enough, depending on how you mean it.

"Few" refers to a small but unspecified number of things.  So to say too small-but-unspecified-number-of-things sounds a little unusual.   So, most often, "few"  is used without modifiers, although I suppose it's not syntactically incorrect to supply a modifier.

  5. "sixteen days is not long enough to hold a multi-sport event"

  6. according to me:Sixteen days are too few to hold a multi-sport event, is perfectly fine.

too little is not correct english.
