Native Gallery and Bar De Ligne to excite the crowds in the Betfred “The Home Of Goals Galore” Handicap Hurdle at Uttoxeter
The Class 3 Betfred “The Home Of Goals Galore” Handicap Hurdle at Uttoxeter over two miles, four furlongs and 110 yards on Saturday, 17th March. The £5, 697 event has attracted fifteen four-year and older thoroughbreds who will invade the field
today.
Having struck a hat trick lately and been rested thoroughly is Native Gallery, Portrait Gallery’s seven-year-old grey gelding out of mare Native Bev. All the three times he was out racing during the previous season, he did not miss a single chance of being
glorified.
The 10/11 favourite galloped into the 2011 campaign by winning the 40 Live Football Markets At Totesport.Com Maiden Chase at Folkestone over two miles and five furlongs on 1st February.
He had Daryl Jacob onboard and got hold of the track by nine lengths. Settling second with Jamie Moore riding was Swift Lord and compromising by a mind blogging fifty-four lengths was Big Bertie.
Into the second start, Native Gallery reached out for victory in the Banks’s Bitter Novices’ Hurdle at Uttoxeter over two miles and four and a half furlongs.
Once more paired with Daryl Jacob, the 2/1 favourite led the track of eighteen by two and a half length while nestling right next to him was Red Rocco. Following third in the tracks of the leader was Ruling Party.
Refusing to lose and capturing the third race in a row was Native Gallery, this time riding with Wayne Hutchinson. The two took charge of the track some four and a half lengths before the wire.
Reserving the runner up’s slot once again was Red Rocco and parking third was High Hoylander.
Another entry that might want to swing back into action is Bar De Ligne, Martaline’s six-year-old bay gelding out of mare Treekle Toffee, who molopolised his seasonal debut but then got busted badly in his next start.
The 5/4 joint favourite of the Watch Racing UK On Sky Channel 432 Novices’ Hurdle, Bar De Ligne dodged the other joint favourite by getting seven lengths under his belt on 22nd January at Market Rasen.
However he was not very lucky in the next chance that he took, he finished seventh on the field of nine on 25th February.
Native Gallery is to strike the seasonal debut and stretch the winning streak to four while Bar De Ligne needs to get his standing back from the third attempt of the new season.
