  1. natural child birth is always the best choice for your health and the babies. if you c-section you will have stomach staples and  it will take longer to heal. also you will not be able to hold your baby. always check with your obgyn to help you with your decision!

  2. I required an emergency c-section and it was pretty awful. I wish I could have had it the way nature intended but there were complications. I was still wrecked two months after and had to take pain meds, then gradually stop taking them.... Bad, bad, bad. Definitely, natural is better. That's what the female body is made to do.

  3. I'd do natural. Some people need C-section, but other than the pushing, you have many of the same side effects amplified with a C-section. This includes bladder and bowel incontinence. Any surgery is risky, but doctors have been trying to cut down on surgeries that involve opening the abdomen (you have to love technology). Also, research proves that for some reason in labor, babies get a certain amount of hormones that make it easier for them to breathe. If for a medical reason I had to get a C-section, o.k. But I wouldn't choose to have an elective cesarean.

Honestly, I can't figure out why so many doctors are beginning to allow elective cesareans. I know we have the right to accept and refuse treatment, but honestly, the doctor needs to weigh the benefits to the risks.

  4. I'd prefer adoption

  5. c section is suppose to be for women who cannot deliver normal, it is a major surgery, if women cannot take the pain, there are other methods

  6. C-sections have a lot of new advantages now so if you do get one the scars will be really small.

But you should have a normal pregnancy with the usuage of medical drugs if you don't want the "full experiance".

  7. c-section is used for emergency purpose. if your able, go natural.

  8. Natural your pain is there while your giving birth and you do not have to wait weeks to heal like you do when you have a c section. after you c section you have to wait like four weeks to drive and 8 weeks to do any lifting.

  9. I would have liked to have my child Naturally becuase both my sister and I have learning disabilities from being born by c-section ( and yes there really is). My eye hand coordination isn't the best and my sister couldn't really read and her eye hand coordination would have been equally as bad but she is deaf so shes signs and is very active in sports. Shes in therepy now for it and has leaped from a 3rd grade reading level to a 10th in less then a year. I cant have a child naturally so I had and will have to have my children by c-section but ill know what to look out for now. -

  10. Well of course it will be your choice but I had an emergency section with my first child and then tried V-BAC with my second child and had to have emergency surgery because my uteris ruptured with her so i would have to say Section i guess because thats all i know. It only takes a few mins to see your little one that way.

  11. Typically you don't get to decide.  Natural birth is far preferred because it is easier to recover from and carries less risks.  C-sections may seem like the easy way to go, but they are very painful afterwards, and because they are a major surgery that can cause major complications.  That's why most C-sections are done in emergency situations.

Read up on birth.  Its pretty amazing what the female body can do to deliver a baby into the world.  C-sections are also quite fascinating, and have certainly saved many lives!

  12. You don't have a choice. C-sections are MAJOR surgery and are reserved for emergencies and big babies that are too big to pass through the pelvic and vaginal opening.

  13. i have had both, and i prefer the natural birth over the c section. there is less pain involved with natural birth. and the recovery time is less with natural birth.

  14. ill have it naturally, but ill get morphine like my mom. Rofl. "i am not going to feel any pain!@!-do you hear me?!?!" C-section is gross, they cut u open and then you'll have a scar.

  15. I am choosibng to have a natural birth. There are risks involved with both, but my goal is to have a medication free birth. C-Sections scare me. I don't like the idea of being awake while chopped at. I also hate the idea of a needle stuck in my back. They do routine epidurals with c-sections now, and there are so many risks with epidurals. Do your research on both and you can decide which is more important to you. Most doctors won't do a c-section unless they feel there is a health risk involved for mom, baby or both.

  16. Completely natural birth. I literally prayed during each of my pregnancies that I would NOT have to have a c section and so far so good! :)

With our third, I labored at home all day and went in and was 8 cm... I didn't have ANY drugs with her and that by far was my favorite labor/delivery experience. I had an epidural with our first (he was born basically asleep and wouldn't eat for a while after birth), I had IV drugs with our second and she was fairly sleepy as well... our third was WIDE awake and ate almost immediately after birth...

  17. I would think natural but I have had 2 c-sections.  there was a lot of complications with both since they were done because of an emergency.  Your body recovers quicker with natural.

  18. natural.

  19. You usually can't just choose to get a c-section.

unless you're a movie star, or your doctor doesn't care too much about you or your baby.

  20. i'm currently pregnant and i want to have a natural birth unless an emergency comes and i have to have a c-section. i guess its really just because it seems less painful and no scars.

  21. I've done both & it's SO MUCH EASIER to recover from a natural birth. After all, a c-section IS a surgery.

  22. Natural Birth...I had my son natural and while it hurt, it is an experience that cannot be replaced.  A c-section is a major abdominal surgery and has its own set of risks associated with it.  I am pregnant right now, and just pray for a healthy and safe natural delivery.

  23. Absolutely vaginal!  A section is serious surgery that involves going through the skin, fat, ab muscles, uterine muscle, and all the immense healing that has to happen after such a surgery.  It's a lot faster to heal after a vaginal delivery and easier to get around and care for the baby.  Ideally, sections should be reserved for labor complications.

  24. Natural all the way. I've had 4. And the last was totally natural w/ no epideral & it was beautiful! The pain is nothing compared to the love & just sheer natural wonder & beauty, you will never feel anything else like it in your life & the pain goes away quick. It's not that bad, only the anxiety of it. I was too afraid before & had epiderals. But w/ my last he came fast & I had no choice. My husband & the nurse delivered, the dr. didn't even make it. But I am so thankful I experienced at least one birth like that. AWESOME!!! Just breathe & relax through labor pains. You will be fine. C~sections seem scary & painful (from what I've heard, imagined & seen), you have to schedule the birth, you have a scar, it just seems weird. Why C~section unless forced to?!

  25. Natural home water birth.

Natural does not just mean vaginal, a natural birth is free of drugs and interventions. There is nothing natural about those things at all.

  26. Definetly natural birth, if possible.

I think that C-section should only be applied when the birth is at a fase that it would be dangerous for the baby/mother.

  27. I personally think natural is best....Except the epidural....I had it for both my children...My first got it at 3 cm....and I was great! My second I went all the way to 8 cm b/4 I got it and I think It wouldn't have been so bad to continue on without it but I am a big scaredy cat so I asked for it, and good thing I did b/c my son was 9lbs. 5oz.!! Good Luck!

  28. Natural birth. But i would get one of those shots in back so i wouldnt feel the pain and i would be sleeping while having it. Thats what my sister did and i saw the whole thing cause her baby daddy taped it and she was knocked out while having it. Its weird thinking how you could have a baby while your practically not awake, but it worked for her!

  29. Naturally you are going to "prefer" what your doctor recommends as the best and safest way to get your baby into the world.  :)

I had a c-section on a Monday night at ten (due to complications involving falling fetal heart rate), then went home on Wednesday morning.  I was sore but doing ok.

My friend had her baby vaginally the same day, but didn't go home for a week.  Why?  The birth caused a tear that went completely through her r****m - ouch!!

So, there is no best answer.  Listen to your doctor and TRY to make the best decision at the time.  Good luck!
