  1. bicarb and vinegar for just about everything...bathroom, benches, toilets etc. I use a home made laundry detergent as well. For air freshener I mix a few drop eucalyptus oil with water in a spray bottle. You can use any natural oil you want for an air freshener.  If you want the recipe for the laundry detergent email me and I'll get back to you with the recipe as soon as I can.

  4. To clean my bathroom I sprinkle some baking soda in the bathtub and scrub at it with a microfiber cloth - the soap scum and ring around the tub actually come off easier this way than with "normal" bath cleaners! I do the same for the sink. I usually just scrub the toilet with the toilet brush with nothing added (if you do it regularly it will stay clean) but sometimes I add baking soda to it too. I've also sprinkled Barkeeper's Friend on the rust stains that we get from our water. (Barkeeper's is suprisingly eco-friendly. It does contain oxalic acid which is what eats away rust, but oxalic acid is naturally found in plants such as rhubarb, it's not a scary chemical).

I have some rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle that I squirt on faucet handles and such to disinfect.  If someone stinks up the bathroom, I'll squirt the alcohol in the air, it works pretty well.

  5. eucalytus oil, will clean most surfaces .apply with cloth depending on what your cleaning, great for stain remover on clothes also a few drops in hot floor water will kept floors shining and clean.try metho for bathroom, tiles glass, crom. eucalytus also makes a great fabric softener.and bath cleaner.contact av.

  6. 1.)Baking soda sprinkled onto the cook top or even inside the oven that has been wetted and then drizzled with very hot white vinegar will effectively clear out the baked on messes when scrubbed with a 3m scrubber pad such as Dobie.

2.) A 32 ounce spray bottle filled with 1 cup white vinegar and three cups water will effectively clean and sanitize surfaces in the kitchen, dining room, clean all floor surfaces (spray as you mop with a washable mop head) streak free, air freshener (the smell goes away in 5 minutes leaving a fresher smell), and also clean windows really well when used with newspaper (not the magazine adds)

3.) White vinegar is a great fabric softener 1 cup in a top loader and 1/2 cup in the rinse of the front loader washers.

4.) When someone in the house is sick you can fill a spray bottle with straight white vinegar and spray all surfaces to kill viruses and bacteria. Wiping it on things such as the phone with a soft cloth is best though.

5.) 2 tsp Tea tree oil (pharmacy section of major stores, health food stores, and pharmacies) mixed into a small spray bottle filled with 12 ounces water shaken will kill mold at the root. Simply wipe away the wipe after 5 minutes. It is great as an after shower spray too and does not harm surfaces or have that horrible bleach smell.

6.) You can hydrate your wood furniture using olive oil with several drops of lemon essential oil to freshen it up as well as kill germs.

7.) For messy spills and other messes such as vomit, egg, oil, etc. can be easier cleaned up by dumping something absorbent on top of it to soak up the mess for you while also helping to eliminate the smell. Use Either baking soda or cat litter. Once it has soak up all it can, use two flat devices, one for scooping it onto the other to get it up then wipe up any residual with a damp rag and spray with vinegar and water spray bottle. For grease on pavement, you can stomp cat litter, baking soda, salt or even sand into the area and allow it to soak up the mess then scrape up or use a shop vac.

TIP: I buy the 1 gallon bottle of white vinegar from Wal-Mart for $1.28 and the 5 pound box of baking soda from the  laundry aisle for $2.55
