Natural Red, Green, Yellow Stainer?

We want to stain corks [from wine bottles], but stain them different colors. Is there any ways to stain them naturally, like green, yellow, red?

I would think wood stains would work and they come in colors for decks, etc.  If you only have a small number, why not try food coloring or even a water based paint?
