  1. Essential oils can help, Bergamot, chamomile, Clary sage, Lavender, marjoram, Ylang-ylang and cedar wood.

Herbal remedies, such as hop, Valerian root or skullcap tea, are also useful.

  2. I am a health care practioner.  I recommend 5 HTP, it is a precursor to tryptophan which with B vitamins turns into serotonin.  Many of the antidepressive drugs and drugs used for anxiety are drugs that increase serotonin levels in the blood.  This is a  natural way to do it over the counter.  You can also get a prescription for tryptophan the amino acid which raises levels quicker.  Unfortunately, after the supply of tryptophan in the united states became tainted many years ago the FDA now requires a prescription for this amino acid.  You don't need a prescription for 5HTP, it is available at most health food stores

  3. Essential oils of chamomille and lavender used in a burner, added a few drops to a bath, or in a massage oil blend.

  4. Valerian Root
