My boyfriend has had a fever for ten days. he has been to the doctor and it is just a virus. Are there any natural remedies that can help bring it down and help him feel better? I know garlic and vitamin c work but does anyone have any suggestions?

  1. Sallow bark,    Yellow gentian root,

mix in equal parts. steep1 tsp. in 1/2 cup boiling hot water for

at least 5 minutes. take 1/2 to 1 cup, in mouthful doses, as

    needed.

  2. taking a lukewarm bath and/or rubbing vinegar on his feet works also.  there is also the trusted ibuprofen alternated with tylenol, but i have used both other methods with success.

  3. Pl check these home-remedies.

  4. The ONLY time you should try to bring down a fever is if it gets over 104 and lasts longer than 20 minutes.  You need to let the fever burn all the germs out of his body.  Fever has a purpose, let it do it's job.  By interfering with his bodies natural immune defense, you are prolonging his illness.

However, I do have a way for you to help speed things along and help him feel better faster.  Grapfruit Seed Extract.  Put 15-20 drops of the oil into a glass of orange juice and have him drink it three to five times a day.  I haven't been sick for longer than 24 hours in five years.  Trust me.  It really works.

In college, I had a roommate who thought I was a little kooky.  She never understood my holistic approach to health and medicine...  but when she came down with the flu and was flat on her back for two weeks, she FINALLY let me give her some GSE + OJ.  She was better in two days.  Now, she takes GSE at the first sign of a cold.  She wasn't sick during the whole time we lived together.

  5. Ice or a cold rag will help put a wet towel in the freezer and let it get very, very cold. Then wrap it around his neck, it will cool off the blood as it goes up to the brain. Also put an ice pack under his arms for a few minutes then remove, just keep repeating that. That will help as well, also a cold rag on the forehead is always good. Also aspirin or Naproxin is good.
