  1. warm compresses to the area repeatedly, and also an over the counter eye lid scrub.

  2. Try to rub it gently with 14K or 18 K gold item. it will be gone overnight, as opposed to the sceptic doc and his science of antibiotics which may take days to heal sty.

  3. I have heard that you rub it with a gold ring, but also that you rub urine on it.....don't know if they work.

  4. Well, I've never tried this myself, but a friend has and it worked pretty well. Hold a hard boiled egg to the sty. It sounds very odd but it might work! Hopefully it does for you!

  5. - Rub clove spice in water and apply it over the stye to relief pain.

    - Use a grated potato as a poultice to reduce swelling in inflamed eyes.

    - Slit an aloe leaf lengthwise and place the pulpy side on the sore eye.

    - Boil 1 teaspoon of coriander seeds with a cupful of water like an herbal tea preparation to wash the eyes 3-4 times a day.

    - 1 teaspoon of turmeric in 2 cups of water until it reduces in half. Cool and strain 4-5 times through a fine muslin. Apply as eye drops 3-4 times a day

    - Take a cup of water. Dissolve 2-3 granules of alum in it. Use as an eyewash.

    - Guava leaves, warmed and placed on a warm damp cloth, and then used as a compress; reduce the redness, pain and swelling.

    - Boil a handful of acacia leaves in two cups of water to make a decoction and apply it as compress on the eyelids

Wet tea bags and place it over the eyes for 8-10 minutes. Use it for several times a day. You would be surprised that this really works and gives a fast relief.

Take a gold ring and rub the sty with the gold ring and in a day or so the sty will be gone,

  6. So far you've got 3 really stupid old wives tales type of remedies....how about some facts, and some actual useful advice??

Styes are caused by blockages of the Meibomian glands at the base of the eyelashes.  They can get plugged with debris (like mascara) and then can become infected.  If you see any crusting on the eyelid, you can gently scrub it with a facecloth and  little bit of dilute baby shampoo once  a day

The simplest, and best way of treating them is the frequent use, at least 3 times a day...of moist  warm, almost hot compresses in direct contact with the affected eyelid for at least 10 minutes at a time.

that is it.  They rarely need antibiotics, and even more rarely need a surgical procedure.
