Natural habitat for japenese quail?

I have 3 hens and 1 c**k japenese quail how would the hens become broody should i plant some corn or something

  1. If you have your birds in an Aviary you could plant grass or put a few Ferns in as a quick  growing plant,(they like seclusion when nesting) you could put in some wheat they would then eat this as soon as it started to grow ,fresh greens always help to encourage breeding,

    I used a tray 2x3 ft. by 2ins, deep with a layer of soil and peat mix in which I sprinkled bird seed on when this grew I put it in with the quail.

    The big problem with Japanese Quail was getting them to breed as they liked seclusion and quietness .

    If you can buy an incubator you will have better success at breeding them ,than leaving it to parental breeding.
