Natural healing of Inflammation of cartilage in chest?

A few months ago I was having pains in my chest but nothing that makes me feel like its my heart but like tearing muscles or tendons in my chest when I would stretch or lift something heavy, my doctor said its inflammation of cartilage in my chest and just to take Ibuprofen everyday but I would like to know if there are any natural remedies I could use. Thanks!!!

  1. Cold will help, an ice pack will reduce swelling. It's also important to understand why it did that in the first place. My husband has a similar problem. It used to cause him daily pain, now that we know what causes it, he hasn't had a problem in a really long time. His problem was muscle tension in his back pulling his ribs out of place. A trip to the chiropractor would help, but now that I am a massage therapist I can relieve the problem before it even starts. So chiropractors and massage therapists might be able to help. The quick fix is ice, and avoiding the activities that cause pain until it heals by itself. Good luck!
