My poor 2 month old baby boy is getting bitten like crazy. I'm using bounce sheets to keep them away in and around his crib, but I'm looking for some all-natural recipes I can make at home for when we go out!

  1. i heard lemongrass essential oil works pretty well, just add 20 drops of the essential oil to 2/3 cups of water and 1/3 cup of alchohol

  2. I use original listerine (the amber coloured liquid) on myself and my family whenever we are out and so far no bites at all. It cost me about 3.00 for a bottle of the generic brand and I put it into some smaller squirt bottles. Just spray on your exposed skin and they stay completely away.

  3. close all the doors and windows fill the neem leaf smoke for 2 minutes and open all the doors and windows for 2 minutes then close all no mosquito will be inside the room

  4. There is nothing better like mosquito preventive net. We are using only that from long time successfully.

All other methods might be harmful for health but it is totally harmless.

  5. Bounce does not work.

According to the FDA, lemon eucalyptus oil (from a species of eucalyptus, not a mic of lemon and any old eucalypt) is effective at repelling mosquitoes.

But for a baby, draping a mosquito netting over the crib is the easiest and best.

  6. I found a nice product just this week called Beat the Deet. It's in a silver aluminum can and it's made in Canada. All natural oils/ingredients.

I'm not doubting the effectiveness of the Listerine as mentioned by someone, but where I live now, the street people drink it, which grosses me out on the smell now. I can't even use it anymore. (I used to wonder why, when passing the homeless, they would have such fresh breath....)

  7. Because it's a baby, try to get the most natural Vitamin B complex you can. Also mix some fresh garlic into his/hers milk formula. But just little and watch the child reaction first. If the baby isn't using a formula, but the real stuff, well it's up to you to eat it.
