Natural muscle relaxer for sleep?

my dentist said I grind my teeth down to 50%, he said its because I'm so tense when I sleep. I have trouble sleeping at night and often take 5HTP, Is there any natural muscle relaxer or sleep aid in pill form?

  1. You can take things, but I would really get a retainer that will prevent you from grinding your teeth--there are other problems besides losing your teeth.  I take melatonin, which helps a person sleep, and I also use a powdered magnesium product, Natural Calm.  It helps with relaxation and your body usually needs it anyway.

    I would try relaxing music (like classical) before you go to bed.  You might get a sleep apnea test to make sure you are not having other more serious problems.


  2. You could try Valerian root:

    "Valerian is used against sleeping disorders, restlessness and anxiety, and as a muscle relaxant."

  3. For natural muscle relaxer, try a magnesium supplement. Preferably one called ionic fizz if you can find it.

  4. Eat cucumber and lettuce before bed  they are calming, also, dont eat  heavy foods like cheese or milky drink. -

    Lavender oil on your pillow also may help or lavender relaxing baths.

    You might think im mad but i always say a preyer before sleeping adding thet i may enjouy a good calm nights sleep - it more often than not works.

  5. im an amputee, i need a muscle relaxant or i start getting cramps and agonising phantom pains...

    all the doctor has is addictive pills, which frankly dont work anyway...

    which is why i smoke the occasional joint....
