Surviving the Sichuan earthquake, I found a report in the newspaper that there were thoundsands of toads immigrating from a city where later was hit severely by the quake. In the first place, people didn't take it as an evil omen, but something funny, for locals haven't seen such a magnificant scene before! Natural omens such as dogs suddenly go mad and bite, or a pond drains off within few hours, or mice moving out, or stuffy weather were ignored. Technologically speaking, rarely could we predict earthquakes. But, can we trust those omens?
