I have had a red eye for the last week, Im not sure what it is, might be bacterial or viral, might just be irritation. Is there any mixture of natural ingredients that can help it go away if it is baceterial or viral, I rather not use prescription products. I am aware of natural supplements that reat viruses and bacteria, but I cant think of anything that I would be able to safely put into my eye. Any advice, suggestions, etc are appreciated.

  1. No ' mixture of natural ingredients' will help your eye. If there were such a remedy and it worked and was safe, it would be part of orthodox medicine. You have two choices: leave your eye alone and hope it gets better or see a doctor. Treating it with some quack remedy will do no more good than not treating it at all and may do some harm.

  2. SEE A DR?

  3. make some Chamomile tea NO sugar... then let it warm, then apply it to your eye... it really works.. I've done it myself... also read this...

  4. Use a Eye Bath, fill with purified water, then add 4 drops of lemon and/or salt. Or colloidal silver. Use thrice daily

    hope this helps.

  5. soak a cotton ball in hot salty water and place over the eye. this should help to draw out and infection and sooth the irritation. or an eye bath from optrex help to wash out the eye?

  6. pure honey and apple cider vinegar mixed together.

  7. Yes, you can clear up an eye infection or irritation by taking two teabags of goldenseal LEAF, not root, and pouring 1/2 cup boiling water over the teabags. Let them steep for about 10 minutes and remove the teabags to let the herbal infusion cool. Take a cotton ball and dip into infusion and squeeze liquid into to eye. Do this five or six times per day and the infection will be cleared in a couple of days. No double dipping into the infusion, and store it in the fridge.

  8. Reputable acupuncturist. Seriously, they can give you needles (near your eye) and herbs that will help ward off infection.

  9. when i get an eye infection, i wash the eye out with plenty of water, and do that a few times a day, and that works wonders.
