  1. Headaches...

Try taking a magnesium supplement. Most migraine and severe headache sufferers are deficient in magnesium. (actually most people in general are magnesium deficient) Also relaxes the muscles.

If it's a pounding blood-whooshing headache try a cold pack on the head and put your feet in warm water. contracting the head blood vessels and dilating the vessels in the feet will relieve pressure in the head.

    Herbs for headaches...

wood betony: great for acute situations

feverfew: used daily long term as a preventative. Helps many migraine sufferers.

You can find these tinctures in any good herb/natural food store. Wood betony...you may need to find on the web.

Sufficient sleep is so important. At least 8 hours if not more. The body needs it to repair and refresh.

    Arthritis...

it's harsh but cutting out, or cutting down on alcohol, coffee, sugars and wheat can help decrease inflammation and pain. Tomatoes are a big one to cut out as are all the veggies in the night-shade family. There's a link below with more info about foods

Castor oil rubbed on the joints followed by warming pad can also help relieve pain. You can also use St. Johns Wort oil a an antinflammatory and pain reliever. (also found in health food stores)

I've made salves for people with arthritis, that have the following essential oils which has helped them increase mobility in their joints.

    lavender oil

    Moroccan chamomile

    rose geranium

Helichrysum: this is a key essential oil as it is very anti-inflammatory

  2. DETOX!

  3. For the headaches.. there could be a multiply reasons to what is going on that causes such things.  Most of the time, it is tension in the muscles and who better to go to then the people who specialize in muscle work.  That would be a Massage Therapist.  The muscles are connected through out the entire body, so most of what people feel is what's called, "referred pain, or Trigger points."  Massage Therapists are trained to work directly with the muscles in the body and to work on what is causing the problem not just the referred pain area.  What's funny, I found out that Massage Therapists are higher on the food chain then Chiropractors in other countries.  Always ask to see their certification and license.  Also, ask them how long they have been practicing.  If they say two years part time, then that is equivalent to one year full time, etc.  For a listing of MT's in your area go to: www.abmp.com Enjoy and cheers.
