  1. Problem is, natural systems take up a lot of room. They involve sunlight, water plants, and microorganisms living among their root systems. I don't think you can fit all of that into a home-sized system.

edit- LOL Yeah, and I heard that they found prozac in the sharks that dwell offshore of large cities! Maybe it'll calm them down? Let's go SURFING!!!

  2. Actually, boiling does kill all the germs, the only problem is that most people boil the water and then simply dump the pan into whatever they are drinking from.  What you should do instead is collect the steam from the boiled water.  Everything bad in the water is heavier and will stay in the pan.

And just to make you even more paranoid, not only are there chemicals and stuff in the water, but there are medications too.  I read a study that said that when people pee, they pee out medications and that stuff makes it back into the water table, filling our water with prozac and viagra and whatever else everyone is on.  Let's hear it for zombies!

  3. Important topic! To purify - means to include the element of fire in the process because fire purifies as water cleanses. To purify the water more is to increase the levels of fire among the water. While it may be that certain temperatures may not rid all germs.  Something that can be learned is that water is cleanest when its not dirtied (a word I just made up) in the first place. So in order to naturally purify the water is to allow the element of fire (heat and light) to interact with the water and keep the water clean. The ocean with the sun shining on it is a good example of how nature deals with it.
